Sequin is big this season. A dash of glitter and glam will ensure the spotlight’s on you all night long.

2)  RED DRESS:

A bright red dress in chiffon spells mischief and fun! No, it’s not mocking Santa Clause in anyway, it’s just keeping things youthful and wearing the color of the occasion.

3) COLLAR DRESSES:

A simple dress or a basic top, you can trend-it up with an embellished peter pan collar. Extremely vogue, these cute things have been spotted on celebs quite often. If embellishments are not your thing, feel free to go for color block, lace, satin, knit or any other kind of collar.

4) LACE LEGGINGS:

It’s pretty cold outside and you definitely don’t want to go out bare legs. Team up your dresses, shorts and tunics with leggings or tights. We love these lace leggings, the perfect blend of sensuousness and chic.

5) ONE SHOULDER DRESS:

While the sun is out, opt for a one shoulder dress. After all, it’s your responsibility to keep the temperature soaring girls!

WINTER SHOPPING FOR HAIR...ROUTINES AND HAIR PRODUCTS BEST FOR YOUR HAIR!!!

The chill in the air is nice but it brings with it the not so welcoming feel to the hair. The cool breeze often leaves hair unmanageable and dehydrated and lead to hair problems like dry scalp, dandruff, frizzy and lifeless hair. Therefore, taking special care of your tresses is all the more essential during this time. I  here will share some of my valuable Tips for winter hair care to keep your mane healthy and the scalp refreshingly clean this season.
MOISTURIZE:
  • Keep your hair hydrated. Nourish with good conditioners and hair masques.
  • Twice a week, apply hair masque starting from mid length to the ends. Keep for 3-5 minutes and rise off.
  • New launched TRESemmé Smooth and Shine Masque and TRESemmé Anti Breakage Masque are good options for their intense conditioning properties to make hair smoother, softer and manageable.

DON'T BE HARSH:
  • Wash your hair twice a week. Do not shampoo too often.
  • Wash your hair with luke warm water. Avoid hot winter as it leaves the scalp dry and flaky.
  • Change your shampoo every 3-6 months to avoid your hair getting immuned to the shampoo.
  • Use shampoos that protect your hair from harsh weather. TRESemmé Climate Control shampoo + conditioner hydrates the hair and creates a barrier between the hair and harsh weather elements.

KEEP OFF THE HEAT:
  • Air dry your hair in winters.
  • Avoid excessive hair drying during winters. Blow drying makes the hair brittle and dry.
  • Try the cool setting of the dryer. The hair may take longer to dry but it’s worth it.

PROTECT AND COVER YOUR HAIR :
  • Keep your head covered whenever you step out in the cold.
  • Use hats or knitted caps with satin or silk lining. Cotton, wool and other fibres absorb moisture and rub on the hair strands, thus damaging the hair.

USE FRIENDLY HAIR GEAR :
  • Wear hair pins to secure hair while stepping out.
  • Use bobby pins or elastic bands to secure the hair. Avoid metal components as hair tends to tangle when wrapped around the metal.

WINTER SHOPPING FOR SKIN....SCARE AWAY THE DRY WINTER!!!

Winter brings with it the bane of dull skin, cracked heels, and other kinds of skin damage. But, by making a few things a staple part of your daily beauty regimen, you can rest assured of supple, dewy skin, even during winter.
A Gentle Cleanser
During winters, regular cleansers can strip the skin of its natural moisture, leaving it dry and brittle. To avoid this, switch to a gentle cleanser during the winter months – hydrating or soap-free cleansers are a good option. If you have naturally dry skin, you could also use after bath oils to help lock in some of skin’s natural moisture.
Daily Moisturiser
Be generous with the moisturiser if you have normal to dry skin. Moisturisers with Aloe Vera or Shea Butter are great at soothing skin irritation brought on by the unwelcome combination of dry, brittle skin and cold weather. Even those with oily skin should use water based moisturisers to help keep the skin supple.
Sunscreen
Contrary to popular belief, sunscreen is not just a summertime skin care staple. It’s as necessary to slather some on during winter. Sun damage, when combined with skin dryness brought on by the weather, can cause further irritation. It’s therefore a good idea to continue using your regular sunscreen irrespective of the season.
Lip Balm
Chapped, dry lips are probably the biggest bane of the cold months, and one that’s the easiest to forget about until it’s too late. To avoid painfully chapped, dry lips at a later stage, make sure you keep your lips sufficiently protected. Carry a lip balm at all times, reapplying whenever your lips feel dry.
Hydrating Night Cream
And last but not the least, it is at night, while you sleep, that your skin rebuilds and repairs itself, and it is therefore necessary, to help aid this process. Hydrating night creams do just that. They also help keep the skin moisturised and supple.

Keeping warm during winter is not easy. Apart from woollen clothes, people should consume heat producing food items to beat the chill.

Not only does garlic act as a cholesterol-lowering agent, it is also a brilliant heat producing food. Garlic contains properties that help fight the flu and other diseases such as bronchitis and asthma.

- Ginger:
It contains gingerols and shogaols that have thermogenic properties that help keep you warm. It helps to cure common cold and it has been effectively used to relieve sore throat. It is also used as a herbal remedy to relieve headaches and nausea.

Red meat contains iron, which stimulates the thyroid hormone to increase heat production.

It is an antimicrobial agent which has been used to treat several ailments since ancient times.

It is a very good source of Vitamin C, which helps to build immunity to fight against common cold, cough and seasonal flu.

WHITE....FLAWLESS, FASHINABLE, FEMINIE!!!

You may have seen your favourite celebs rocking the all white look as you have been flicking through you favourite magazine or surfing the web, this look is bang on trend and what I love about this trend is it is so easy.

Whether your out shopping or spending an evening with friends this look is perfect and timeless.

It has been said that white is not a colour, now whether or not this is true white is the perfect background to a glow or some big bold red lips. White also lights up your face as it reflects the light and so can be very flattering.
The key thing to remember with white is to keep it simple…

I personally LOVE Marilyn Monroe and do try where I can to copy her amazing style. WHOM DO YOU LIKE BEST IN WHITE???
!!!KEEP IT SIMPLE, KEEP IT ROCKING!!!

GO FORMALS FOR INTERVIEWS : remember first impression is the last impression..

This is the second part of the College Fashion.Today I want to go over what to wear to an interview for a job or internship, a process that most college girls are going through now or will be soon!

An old cliche applies to the interview process: you need to dress for success!  It sounds stupid, but it’s very true: what you wear to an interview is just as important as what’s on your resume.

First impressions are formed in 7 seconds.  38% of  first impression is based on inflection and tone of voice (how you say things), 7% is based on what you actually say, and a whopping 55% of a first impression comes from NONVERBAL cues!  In short, more than half of every first impression is based on how you look!

Be Prepared

The first step in figuring out what to wear to your interview is to do some research!
Find out what industry the firm is part of, talk to other people who have worked there if possible, even creep outside their office checking out what current employees are wearing if you want! Also, this sounds obvious but can sometimes get overlooked: take note if they specify a certain dress code on their website, in an email to you or in the job listing!  If they don’t specify what dress code you’re supposed to wear, assume that they want professional business dress, and go as conservative as you can with your wardrobe.  It’s always better to be over dressed than under dressed!

Sample Outfits

A lot of what you should wear to an interview depends on what industry you’re trying to get a job in!  Here are some ideas for what to wear to interviews in different industries:
Conservative Industries – Accounting, Finance, Law, Consulting, etc. :

Go for a simple and chic look if you’re interviewing in a conservative industry like accounting, finance, law or consulting, or if you just aren’t sure about the dress code for your interview.  You can’t go wrong with a basic black skirt-suit (a skirt and blazer made of the same material), white collared shirt, simple black pumps, nude pantyhose, a black bag, and pearls.

Creative Industries – Advertising, Graphic Design, Music, etc. :

Hair & Makeup

When it comes to doing your hair and makeup for a job interview, just remember: less is more.  You should try to look as polished as possible while still keeping your makeup simple and understated.
Do Wear:
  • Your hair in a clean and simple style
  • Concealer if you need it
  • A small amount of translucent powder to get rid of shine
  • Mascara
  • Neutral-toned lip gloss or lipstick
  • A small amount of eyeliner & neutral eyeshadow (optional)

Don’t Wear:
  • Your dirty hair teased out to here
  • Tons of caked-on foundation
  • Smokey eye makeup
  • Brightly colored eyeshadow
  • Glittery or super bright lip gloss

Summary

At the end of the day, dressing for an interview is about dressing for the job you want, and showing your professionalism via your clothing choices.  If you follow the tips above, I know your next interview will be that much more successful.
And this may help you guys in the best way possible..ENJOY:

SUMMER FASHION FOR COLLEGES

One thing I get asked probably more than anything else is what you should wear to class in college.Obviously, classroom attire is a controversial subject among college students!
So what do you wear to class, what don’t you wear, what constitutes “dressing up”, and what doesn’t?

What To Wear To Class:

Even if you only have a few minutes to get ready, it’s not difficult to wear something cute and comfortable to class. Resist the urge to throw on sweats!
outfit #1 :

  • Jeans: Skinny jeans in bright colours like pink, red and green are trendy and bold college wear. You can also choose more subtle styles like slim fit jeans or those with torn edges at the bottom.

  • T-shirts: Tees in bright pastel shades come with witty sayings or phrases, making them great for college. Lightweight thin tees with large rounded necks look great layered with a cotton jacket.

  • outfit #2 :

Dhoti Pants: Billowing in the middle and tapering at the bottom, dhoti pants in different cuts are popular in college wear today. Versatile and available in solid colours or patterns, they team brilliantly with everything from cotton tees, slim fit kurtis and blouses to tank tops worn with jackets.

    outfit #3 :

    Simple & Chic :

This is a simple outfit that I would wear a lot  – a pair of skinny jeans, a long tank top. I would finish it off with some cute metallic or brightly-colored ballet flats, a long necklace, and a cute tote bag.

I wear many variations on this outfit in the cooler months, but it’s one of my go-to’s whenever I’m pressed for time and still want to look nice. So easy and still so chic!
    outfit #4 :
    Salwar Kameez:
Churidar and kameez, as well as short regular fit kameez with dupatta are classic college wear. A-line designs and different necklines in decorative motifs, are common. Go for cotton kameez in bright patterns for a breezy and comfortable summer look.

Kurtis with Leggings: As a fashionable Indo-Western outfit, medium length kurtis with leggings are great. Bright coloured leggings give you a slim silhouette while the embroidered or patterned kurti balances the look on top.

    It’s All About The Basics

At the end of the day, if you have most of the wardrobe essentials for college girls, then you’re basically good to go when it comes to getting dressed for class.
Most of the time, a cute pair of jeans, a great top, and some accessories are all you need. If you want to wear something more interesting, though, I say go for it! I’m all in favor of showing off the clothes you love & self-expression through fashion.
